David is the Company Director founder of DGB Events. He has a solid 20 years experience of designing and delivering events and festivals (and everything in between) in both the public and private sector.
David has been working on the event since 2013 and is passionate about the Festival “Thrift is behind every event that I do” said David. “If I can do anything a cheaper more resourceful way – that still remains safe – that’ll always be the option I choose! I’m keen to keep suppliers as local as possible which is thrifty for transport and the environment.”
David is a published Health and Safety expert and has been instrumental in making the Festival happen. David advises, designs and delivers events all over the UK, from huge city centre firework displays, to energy fuelled outdoor stamina events to award-winning arts festivals, David’s done them all.
Here are three things you (probably) didn’t know about David…
- What’s your favourite home cooked meal?
I make a mean Thai green curry, slow cooked to perfection (sometimes).
- Where were you brought up?
In Darlington (where else)! I did my first three jobs there. Paper boy, Saturday staff in Boots and Nat West Bank.
- Book or kindle?
Has to be book. The Kindle can’t replicate the touch, weight or smell of a book – I can still see and smell ‘Black Beauty’ handed down from my Mum which I read countless times as a child.
