Get Singing with the Phoenix Choir

Come and be part of our community choir and perform at this year’s Festival of Thrift 17 & 18 September at Kirkleatham in Redcar.

We are building a choir of 170 to celebrate 170 years of steel-making on Teesside. Bringing together people of all ages to make new songs, re-imagine old songs and perform together. Led by north-east artists – the Mouthful singers (Katherine Zeserson Dave Camlin, Sharon Durant, Bex Mather).

You will learn new singing techniques and make new friends.

The process is open to all and will result in a performance to be presented once each day at the Festival, as well as a band of invisible singers who will pop up across the site throughout the weekend.
