Blogger Challenge

Festival of Thrift

To celebrate the launch of this year’s Festival, which coincides with the 190th anniversary of the world’s first passenger steam train that travelled between Stockton and Darlington, the Festival is challenging a selection of bloggers to get crafty with cardboard in the name of being thrifty.

We want you to unleash your inner artist by using cardboard to create something railway-inspired, whether it’s a cardboard train, carriage or station – the choice is yours! As the Festival’s ethos is all about reusing and recycling, the challenge is to bring your creation to life using an old cardboard box you already have at work or at home.

A panel of judges will be looking for the thriftiest creation, with the winning blogger receiving the opportunity to showcase their design at this year’s Festival, which will take pride of place on its very own stand throughout the weekend.

Whatever your creation may be, share your making journey on your blog and with us on social using the hashtag #RailwayThrift and tagging @ThriftFest for the chance to be named Festival of Thrift’s Thriftiest Blogger. We’ll also share a selection of the best blogs on the Festival of Thrift website.

Please let us know if you would like to take part in this thrifty challenge by emailing alex@opr.co.uk.
