  2. Hi, I run an upcycing textile business from the Isle of Arran in Scotland. I had some products on the remade in Britain stand last year. I was just wondering if you book stands to makers from outside the area and if so what the process and costs might be. Thanks so much.

  3. Hi, I would just like to inquire if there is any availability left for a stall. I make jewellery (rings) out of vintage keys and antique silver spoons and bangles from silver sugar tongs. I also make candles from upcycled champagne bottles as well as lights from vintage champagne bottles.

    Hi there,

For the last couple years I have visited darlington thrift festival and really believe in the sentiment behind the event. This year i was wondering how to go about getting a stall myself. I’d like to sell recycled animal toys for £1 each to raise money for an animal charity. I am an animal owner and instead of buying new toys for my pet, adding to the waste we create, I simply collect old socks and stuff long socks with smaller socks, tying knots like sausage links. They proove extremely popular with my pets and last a well.

Look forward to hearing back from you,

    Many thanks,

    Josie

  6. Hi,

I love the philosophy behind the festival and am a thrifty upcycler myself. I share skills on youtube and deliver workshops on numerous different money-saving upcycles; including glass bottle cutting, hand stamping old cutlery and pallet wood furniture. I was just wondering if there are going to be demos at the festival and if you want any more? I am especially keen to deliver a glass bottle cutting workshop where each participant could leave with their own drinking glass at the end.
