Copper Foil Suncatcher using Stained Glass Window Techniques with Janet Fraser 16yrs+

The copper foil technique, is ideal for decorative panels, sun catchers and mirrors as well as lampshades and other three dimensional work. Copper tape and solder is used to create a seam joining the pieces of glass.

These 2hr workshops are suitable for beginners.  Providing a patterns and a large selection of coloured and textured glass for you to choose from.  You will go home with your own piece of copper-foiled stained glass.

Skills learnt:

selecting suitable glass
scoring and breaking glass
grinding the pieces
applying copper foil tape
soldering the seams and attaching hanging rings
polishing for display

Participant Information: Suitable for ages 16 +. Please wear casual, comfortable clothes and preferably an apron or old shirt.
