Tuned In Redcar is for 11 – 19 year olds. It’s a performance venue for theatre, dance and music with a recording studio, radio studio, arts and crafts room, media suite, ICT suite, chill out area and beach side café. We asked them to recommend some up and coming young musicians for the Festival and this year we are showcasing the following artists:
Jake Gallagher and Jack Harvey (Saturday 10.30am – 11.00am):
Young acoustic covers duo consisting of Jake Gallagher and Jack Harvey from Brotton, East Cleveland covering a wide range of songs from the 50’s to present day.
Sam Peacock and Will Keam (Saturday 11.30am – 12.00noon):
An acoustic duo – The Fentimans – Sam (guitar) and Will (vocals) – Two friends who like to share their love of music with songs you know and songs you don’t.
Alec Petford and Connor Lowe (Sunday 10.30am – 11.00am):
A unique duo with strong vocals, they write their own songs as well as reinterpretations of classics! Alec’s voice is a legend in its own right!
Komparrison (Sunday 11.30am – 12.00noon):
Komparrison are a 2 piece vocal harmony act from Redcar. Elise and Kaitlyn are both 15 years old and they perform a wide range of cover versions as well as their own songs. Komparrison specialise in taking popular songs and re-working them into their own “close harmony” style! The girls are regulars on the local music and open mic scene, and have also performed live sessions on local radio.
