Mark your calendars for the Festival of Thrift on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July, 9am – 5pm at Kirkleatham Museum and grounds. Celebrating its 14th glorious year, this festival is the perfect place for thrifters, creatives, and fun-loving folks to come together and get creative with sustainable living.  

We’re looking for amazing volunteers who share our values and a sense of fun. Whether you’re a thrifter, grafter or DIY enthusiast, or simply someone who loves to help, we need you!

This year you have the option of volunteering before and after the Festival or during the weekend itself.  

Your tasks could include:  

Site Dressing: Help make Kirkleatham even more beautiful! 

Moving and Shaking: Help with site logistics, including moving furniture and setting up for events. 

Welcoming Attendees: Greet festival-goers and ensure they have a fantastic experience. 

Signposting: Guide attendees to various performances, workshops and events across the site. 

Supporting Performers: Assist event managers before, during, and after performances. 

Accessibility Assistance: Ensure all attendees can enjoy the festival comfortably. 

Workshop Support: Aid artists with workshop prep and help attendees during sessions 

We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals with a can-do attitude, reliability, and a sense of fun. Please note that volunteering involves a lot of walking, and the set up and clear down role can be quite active. However, we can accommodate mobility needs and find the right volunteering role for you.

Volunteers receive training in Customer Service, Health and Safety, Dealing with Difference and Sustainability.
