Esk Valley Camphill is a life-sharing community set in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors, where people with and without learning disabilities live, work and grow together.
At the centre of community life are 13 shared households and a range of social enterprises that provide meaningful vocational opportunities for people of all abilities. These include a Bio dynamic seed workshop and Garden, organic Herb workshop, Estate workshop, Bakery, Craft workshop, health food shop and Wood workshop alongside sustainable forestry and conservation projects in the surrounding countryside. By taking part in real work that benefits both the community and the wider world, members develop confidence, independence, partical skills and a strong sense of their own identity.
