A glowing, homespun reflection on land-based ancestry. A dramatic illuminated ‘stone’ circle, taking inspiration from Wild Rumpus’ work on nature and our intimate connection to the green spaces we roam on, looking to our prehistorical ancestors and to the rituals and artefacts they used to make sense of their relationship with nature and the seasons.
Constructed as a giant, reflective and inclusive space, our ‘stones’ gently illuminated from within, cladded in repurposed white homecloths – the tablecloths, napkins and embroidered fabrics of our more recent ancestors, reflecting on the undervalued female crafters who came before us.
