A series of sit spots invite visitors to mindfully reconnect with nature through simple observation. Sit, Stop offers a unique viewpoint to a fascinating area of the Tees Valley, taking the form of a series of pavilions inspired by the coastline. Sit and observe the nature before you. Draw what you see, watch and observe or simply take time to connect with the surroundings.

Sit, Stop has been created using plastic collected on Redcar and Saltburn beaches. With thanks to Friends of Redcar and Keeping it Clean @ Saltburn.

With thanks to Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council and Groundworks Trust for their support in the siting of this work.

How to visit:

Sit, Stop is located on the road that runs between Majuba Car Park and the beach, best accessed via the main vehicle entrance into the car park, you won’t miss the pavilions.

Please note if you do drive to the site, you will be required to pay for parking at Majuba Car Park, which is priced at £1 per hour.
