The climate emergency is real and it is the youth of today who will face the catastrophic effects.

Far from being passive, the younger generations are the most empowered, outspoken and active in demanding the need for change.  So what opportunities are there out there for young people to engage in sustainability, take action and instigate change?  From protest to politics to green careers, we will be exploring these themes with a panel of young people already making a difference.

The format of this talk will consist of 30 minutes interactive panel discussion where your questions will be put to the speakers.  Directly afterwards we will move into a 30 minute ‘World Cafe’ managed by our friends at the Tees Valley Nature Partnership.  This is your opportunity to really get stuck in and debate in smaller groups around virtual round tables: How can we really start to Build Back Better?

Join our panel of expert speakers and come ready to debate and participate!

If you have access needs and require closed captions, please view this talk live on our YouTube page – watch out for the links on social media on the day.
