The TWP, or Tees Women Poets, is a performance poetry collective for women of all backgrounds who live or work in the Tees Valley Area. We inspire women to come into their full power as leaders and influencers through creative self-expression, and we use sisterhood to foster the confidence needed to engage with social issues and claim full representation.
We run free monthly groups (currently online) where women can come together to write, learn, share, and practice performance. Our membership spans all ages, from teenagesr to grandmothers, and we regularly perform at community arts and literature festivals in the region.
During these strange times, we have launched a Poetry Phonecall project where isolated and shielding members of our communities can book a friendly chat and an uplifting poem. More information about who we are and what we do can be found on our website at  www.teeswomenpoets.com
