Our SABIC Stage area is jam-packed full of DJ’s, live music and performance, as well as the ever-popular OXGLAM Fashion Show. Pull up a deckchair, grab a bite to eat and a drink from the bar and take in the sights. Visit the Museum Store for guided tours.
Another opportunity to browse more of our delightful stalls including Oxfam and the Thrift fest staple – SWAPSHOP. Check out the Pavilion – host to the Teesside University Expo this year.
Head to the Info Desk to get tickets and find out what’s on: sign up for Artsmark, grab a drink and something to eat then settle down at the Pagoda Stage. Here you’ll be surrounded by activity including dance and circus performances and workshops; soak it all up and start your journey round #Thriftfest.
Step inside the old stable block, each year we have a different theme and use of this enchanting space. Catch Talks and Storytelling at the Acoustic Stage, or watch the thrifty LIVE Jukebox!
The church will be throwing open their doors and celebrating throughout the weekend, at 10:30am on Sunday morning there will be a Harvest Festival service.
The school is home once again to our Fix It café. The school’s own Acorn café will also be open to keep energy levels up. You can also try your hand at making an eco-brick this year!
New for 2018! Bring your bike and get involved in some of the be-SPOKE(!) activities we have available, in partnership with Sustrans.
This area is dedicated to go-kart building this year. Bring your imagination, roll your sleeves up and prepare to go faster! You can also make a boat and float it with River Tees rediscovered.
Here you’ll find the BBC experience a food court and all manner of thrifty stalls. Great for families, with an adventure playground and a maze to let off steam. Performances from Bicycle Ballet, Acrojou and Bicycle Boy running throughout the day. We’ve re-sited The Town is the Menu to this area and dare you to venture into the WOODS this year for all kinds of wild cooking and heritage making!
